Dog's Best Friend

Emma found a new best friend. Kristjan!!!! He followed Emma around the house. He layed on her, kissed her, pulled a little hair and just plain loved her. I have a feeling that Daddy ( Chris)will be ganged up on for a new dog. Their 2 longtime dogs passed away this passed year. So it time for new blood in the house. We will see how long he can hold out.

Family Time .

No more turkey. I bet that is on everyones mind this week. My mind is somewhere in the future. Chris , Nessa and the kids were here for the holidays. I love when we are all together. I miss the closeness of family I had growing up. All the cousins and Aunts and Uncles running around. Neal's family is here but its still not the same. Somotime in the future they are going to try to move here. But this economy is making it harder and farther into the future. We can pray for better times and brighter futures. Enough of that....

We had some family pictures taken this weekend. It was crowded at the photo studio but they turned out pretty well. The Santa hand is Aunt Nessa. The gils were so beautiful and the little man Mr. Kristjan is handsome. He played w\Bellas hair and started pulling on it. Bella just smiled. The whole weekend was great. The kids got along and the babies did what babies do. Kristjan is so cute. He's always happy except when he's hungry or in the car seat too long. I don't blame him though.

Big Pot in the Little Pot

It almost Turkey Day. Nessa, Chris and the kiddos will be here sometime tomorrow evening. We are so excited we can hardly stand it. I'm trying to get all of my laundry and house cleaning done today and tomorrow. I want to be able to enjoy the visit. Emily and I are gonna start baking and cooking tomorrow. I have to work 1\2 a day. That's Okay. We are gonna make orange fluff, 2 pecan pies, 2 pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving dinner. Then we are gonna make sausage rolls for breakfast. They are the best.
Ingredients:
1 pkg of mild sausage
1 pkg of hot sausage
2 cans crescent rolls

Mix 1 pkg of hot and 1pkg. of mild room temp. sausage together
Roll out crescent rolls
Spread thin layer of sausage onto crescent roll
Roll into tube
Wrap in cellophane and then tin foil
Freeze

To cook :
Follow directions on crescent wrapper.
(the reason you use a thin layer of sausage is so it will still cook the sausage and not burn the crescent)
Serve w\eggs and you have a nice hot easy breakfast.
You can also use them as appetizers.

I could eat them on a daily basis. Hopefully Chris won't read the ingredients on the sausage package. (I'll make sure it's long gone)

Cate is sleeping thru the night again,finally..... but now Emily was up late last night . She is having growing pains. Her joints hurt in her arms, hands and legs. She was in tears. The only thing we can do is alternate Tylenol and IBU and use hot pads. I laid w\her in her bed until 1 a.m. She was crying in her sleep. You feel so helpless. She did this last year and grew 4 in. in 5 months. I wish she would grow a little at a time not all at once.

No Deer today

Emily and Daddy went deer hunting this morning. It was so cold Neal;s glove froze to the scope when he was carrying it. Emily was a popcicle. She said her feet were frozen. They both looked so cute when they left. In their camo and bright orange boggins. Sad to say there will be no deer jerky made from this trip. They will go back again in a couple of weekends.
No deer but we did loose a tooth. Emily lost her 3rd tooth. The 2nd in two weeks. So she is singing "All I want for Christmans is my 2 front teeth." It sounds so cute with the lisp.
My little ham.We were on our way to meet Ninnie. Ninnie and Emily had a date. They ate lunch and then went to see HighSchool Musical 3. They both really liked it. I;m sure we will have to add it to our DVD collection.

Broken Spell

As soon as the flash went off the spell was broken. . But her piggies rescued her as always. Cate loves her little piggies.
