Big Pot in the Little Pot

It almost Turkey Day. Nessa, Chris and the kiddos will be here sometime tomorrow evening. We are so excited we can hardly stand it. I'm trying to get all of my laundry and house cleaning done today and tomorrow. I want to be able to enjoy the visit. Emily and I are gonna start baking and cooking tomorrow. I have to work 1\2 a day. That's Okay. We are gonna make orange fluff, 2 pecan pies, 2 pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving dinner. Then we are gonna make sausage rolls for breakfast. They are the best.
Ingredients:
1 pkg of mild sausage
1 pkg of hot sausage
2 cans crescent rolls

Mix 1 pkg of hot and 1pkg. of mild room temp. sausage together
Roll out crescent rolls
Spread thin layer of sausage onto crescent roll
Roll into tube
Wrap in cellophane and then tin foil
Freeze

To cook :
Follow directions on crescent wrapper.
(the reason you use a thin layer of sausage is so it will still cook the sausage and not burn the crescent)
Serve w\eggs and you have a nice hot easy breakfast.
You can also use them as appetizers.

I could eat them on a daily basis. Hopefully Chris won't read the ingredients on the sausage package. (I'll make sure it's long gone)

Cate is sleeping thru the night again,finally..... but now Emily was up late last night . She is having growing pains. Her joints hurt in her arms, hands and legs. She was in tears. The only thing we can do is alternate Tylenol and IBU and use hot pads. I laid w\her in her bed until 1 a.m. She was crying in her sleep. You feel so helpless. She did this last year and grew 4 in. in 5 months. I wish she would grow a little at a time not all at once.

No Deer today

Emily and Daddy went deer hunting this morning. It was so cold Neal;s glove froze to the scope when he was carrying it. Emily was a popcicle. She said her feet were frozen. They both looked so cute when they left. In their camo and bright orange boggins. Sad to say there will be no deer jerky made from this trip. They will go back again in a couple of weekends.
No deer but we did loose a tooth. Emily lost her 3rd tooth. The 2nd in two weeks. So she is singing "All I want for Christmans is my 2 front teeth." It sounds so cute with the lisp.
My little ham.We were on our way to meet Ninnie. Ninnie and Emily had a date. They ate lunch and then went to see HighSchool Musical 3. They both really liked it. I;m sure we will have to add it to our DVD collection.

No Deer today

Broken Spell

As soon as the flash went off the spell was broken. . But her piggies rescued her as always. Cate loves her little piggies.

Daddy Time

Isn't it beautiful when you see a moment that you know will be a memory for years to come. Emily had gone to bed and Neal, Cate and I were up watching T.V. I was into the movie when I look over and see Neal talking about Santa to Cate. She was so intent on his face and what he was saying. It makes you wonder if they actually do understand.

Momma's Little Helper

Emily has become my right hand man (girl). I don't kow what I'd do w\out her. She is still a typical almost 8 year old but she helps me alot. The other night I was so busy doing laundry, finishing dinner, and checking homework that I fussed at Cate for fussin. Emily picked Cate up, put her in the highchair and started to feed her. I didn't realize what Emily had done because I was in the laundry room. I came out because Cate stopped fussin'. That's is when I saw this. Emily was so proud of herself for helping me.To tell you the truth, I was too. As you can see by the picture I hadn't finished dishes. Not too sure who ended up having more food on them, Emily or Cate.

Proud as a Peacock

Have you ever been so proud you could cry? The day of the wedding Neal was beside me every step of the way. I was thinking to myself, 'How lucky am I' to have him as my husband. There should be some kind of award for great husbands. I know I take him for granted sometimes. Saturday was one of those days that just made me realize again the kind of man I married. If you are like me, you know how your spouse is but you wonder if the world would know if they met him. Well Saturday, I was pulled aside on more than one occasion to be told how wonderful Neal was, how we made such a nice couple, how lucky I was to have such a gentleman for a husband. It takes you by surprise. Not that I don't agree, just that when someone else notices it and lets you know it makes you very proud. Neal and I were also told we had 2 beautiful girls and how well behaved Emily was. (What they didn't know was about the threat she better behave). Daniel's step-mother was impressed with our little family. She said that we seemed to be a good example for the new bride and groom. As tired and worn out as I was these little things that people took time out to share w\us made the day even better. The day was totally about Toot's and Crutch but it was still nice to hear.

It's All Over

Hello everyone, sorry its been a while. Last Wednesday and Thursday I was sick, Friday and Saturday was wedding stuff and Sunday we all passed out. Cate is sick. Again. Everything is starting to get back to normal. The wedding was beautiful. Haven;t gotten any pictures yet but when I do you will. Tootsie was breathtaking. It hard to believe that Neal asked me out the 1st time on her 1st birthday. She is like our oldest child. Neal and I both got teary eyed when she started walking up the isle. Her dress, hair and smile were what all brides wish for. Danny (the groom) was just as handsome. He had a few tears in his eyes as well..
The whole bridal party looked good. Especially the best man (Neal) and the flower girl (Emily). If I may say so myself. I have never worked so hard or fast in my life. Or been as tired after getting everything ready for the wedding. Flowers, reception, hair for some of the girls. If it wasn't for a friend of the family Mrs. Jones and Neal helping me I would of gone mad.
Monday , Neal stayed home w\Cate and took her to the Dr. She has an ear infection and the beginnings of a cold. So antibiotics here we come.

Time to Rest? When?

This weekend was a whirlwind and the next one will be too. This weekend Me and a friend went to Wilson County for a Girl Scout training meeting that was suppossed to be from 9:30- 1:30 we didn't get out until 2:30 and it was 45 min. trip both ways. After I got home I had to get ready for Tootsie's bachelorette party and Neal had to get ready for Crutch's bachelor night. Meaning get dresed, get girls dressed, pack diaper bag, and take them to Ninnie's. It was a pretty fun night. Went to eat Mexican and went bowling. Tootsie is not of drinking age so we had to find something fun to do w\out alcohol. Sunday was home day. Cleaning and yard work. I'm stil scraping wall paper. Almost done.

It's Time for change

It's soooo cold, the temp is 29 this morning. No one in the house was ready to get up and going . But when you have such beautiful scenery it helps. This is a couple of pictures I took looking out my window at work.. Sometimes I catch my self just staring. This weekend was a little dreary , but the colors were breathtaking. This picture was taken looking out from my office window. I catch myself staring too often this time of year. Growing up in Florida makes you really appreciate the colors of the seasons.

No more YELLING!!!!!!!

Have you ever wanted to change something about yourself? Not physically but other things. I started Monday a 10 day trial of not yelling. We yell all the time at our house. Not always mad just from one end to teh other. Sometimes when I've gotten to my last nerve I will yell to make sure everyone has heard me. I don't like it. I am trying to change it. Its really hard. When you tell you child something 3 or 4 times and they still ignore you. That's when I will usaully yell. So they can hear it. So now I will say it 1 or 2 times then I take Emily by the hand and make her do it. That way I know its done and I don't have to yell. If we want each other we go to the room they are in. We are all trying to do this as a family. Today is day 4. Not too bad so far.

Spooky, Crazy Weekend

Hope eveyone had a Spooky Halloween. We had a pretty good time. Emily went trick or treating w\our friends and I stayed at our friends house so Cate could play w\Raggedy Anne.(Kennedy). They were born 4 days apart. They were all so cute. Cate- Red Hot Chilli Pepper did not like her costume. We took pictures and took it off. Cate & Emily stayed at Ninnie and Boo's house .(grandma and grandpa)

Neal and I were up and gone from the house by 5a.m. on Saturday. On our way to Jamestown to 4 wheel for the day. We had a great time except that I flooded out the 4 wheeler I was using and we had to tow it back to the trailer. Mr. Mike was our savior... So I had to ride behind Neal the rest of the day. With the new foot pegs it was actually pretty nice. The weather was perfect and the views were sensational. The colors were breathtaking.

After we got home and unloaded I went to get the girls and Neal went to check out a new tatoo. He has one for Emily now he has to get one for Cate. So far a unique cross w\ribbon running thru it. She is truly a miracle. Emily's is a 4-leaf cloer because she is our luck. We'll see. He hasn't decided yet. It could change.

Sunday was pretty calm. Took Ninnie and Boo to lunch in Nashville to Mafiazo's. Best Italian around. Then home...to rest for a little while. Get ready for the week.
